Sustainability Committee

Campbell Park Community Council’s new Sustainability Committee has now begun its work to support environmental sustainability and climate resilience across the CPCC area. 
 
The Committee was established in 2026 following the transition of the former Climate Emergency Working Group into a formal committee of Council. Its role is to help develop, monitor and promote the Council’s Sustainability Plan, while supporting practical action across all areas of the Council’s work. 
 
The Committee’s objectives include encouraging sustainable practices within Council operations, promoting biodiversity and environmental protection, supporting local climate change initiatives, and engaging residents and community organisations in sustainability projects. 
 
Residents can look forward to future opportunities to become involved in sustainability projects and community initiatives as the Committee develops its work programme over the coming months.
