06/08Springfield Local Centre
 The Committee received a presentation from Mr David Blandamer of MKC Urban Design on possible ideas for the future redevelopment of the local centre at Springfield.  At the conclusion the Committee:- 
  1. Did not support option A , the minimalist proposal, as it offered little improvement to the general area
  1. Supported major development of the area involving a new community centre and store with improvements to community facilities paid for by the construction of new houses, flats or sheltered housing and from planning obligation money
  1. Called for any proposals to include space for young people
  1. Requested that any re-development provided for the store to continue to operate largely uninterrupted
  1. Asked that consideration be given to whether any redevelopment proposals might also include a new office facility for the Parish Council.

 The minutes of the meeting held on the 7th May, having already been circulated, were approved as correct and signed by the Chairman.

 The Committee reviewed the current Committees Terms of Reference and concluded that no change is necessary.

 31 Aldrich Drive, Willen – The written response from Milton Keynes Council was noted and it was concluded that there was no more which could be done.

118 Penryn Avenue, Fishermead

Cllr Petchey reported that the appeal had been submitted because MKC had not responded to the planning application within the prescribed time limit.  However subsequently MKC had said that if they had determined the application they would have approved it.  As a result the only argument against the appeal was from CPPC who received a very courteous and fair hearing.  The Inspector will now reach his conclusion.
