MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE HELD ON Monday 24 September 2007 AT FISHERMEAD HOUSE, 1 PENCARROW PLACE, FISHERMEAD commencing at 7.00pm

084/07 Minutes of the Last Meeting
The Minutes of the last previous meeting, having already been circulated, were approved and signed by the Chairman.
Children/Youth Activities
085/07 Fishermead Inter-Agency
No agency has attended the last two arranged meetings. Martyn Lee is arranging a meeting for the 16th or 17th October. If non attendance, the project will be cancelled.
086/07 Fun Days
Following discussion it was agreed that an analysis report of the 2007 Fun Days be presented to October Committee.
Elderly
087/07 Elderly
Cllr Petchey requested that a representative from Age Concern be invited to attend the October Committee Meeting to help Committee identify areas in which Campbell Park Parish Council (CPPC) could become involved.
Martyn Lee suggested that the Committee Clerk contacts, for discussion, Kirsty Heath of Milton Keynes Council (MKC), who works with the elderly.
Martyn Lee to discuss with schools, project interaction between pupils and the elderly.
Unemployment
088/07 Campbell Park Unemployment Initiative
Minutes of Campbell Park Unemployment Initiative meeting held on 20th September to be forwarded to members, for discussion, with the next Agenda.
089/07 NEET
NEET will be holding an open day in the Trinity Centre on Monday 29th October. External agencies such as employers, benefit, sexual and careers advisors and the army etc will be in attendance.
General Community Items
090/07 Spotlight
Following discussion it was agreed that Committee arrange activities for parishioners which support Spotlights. Cllr Tom Fraser to be invited to attend the October Committee meeting for discussion.
091/07 Dance Festival
Following discussion it was agreed that the Committee Clerk research the viability of CPPC presenting a small scale dance festival during 2008.
092/07 Milton Keynes Orchestra
Following discussion it was agreed that a representative from the orchestra be invited to attend October Committee meeting to discuss how their requirement for a further grant will benefit the Parish.
093/07 Pond Survey
Following discussion, it was agreed that, following Environment Committee's approval for the project, this Committee would approach schools and the elderly to become involved in gathering information for the survey.
All Other Business
094/07 Community Budget
Committee to discuss following analysis of the Parish Appraisal.
095/07 Terms of Reference
Following discussion it was resolved to recommend to Council adoption of the updated Terms of Reference.
096/07 Date of next meeting
The next meeting of the Community Action Committee will be held on Monday 22 October.
