GIVE A CHILD A CHANCE TO HAVE A FUN DAY AT WILLEN LAKE

Whitecap Leisure, who manage the leisure facilities at Willen Lake, has donated to Campbell Park Parish Council an activity day for six children who live within the Parish of Campbell Park.

Do you know of a child who gives their time to helping others and deserves to be rewarded?

If so, we would like to hear from you, about a young person between the ages of 8 and 10 who:

  • is a primary carer for a relative or sibling
  • helps care for an elderly or disabled person
  • has stood up for someone who may have been targeted by bullies
  • is passionate about environmental issues
  • has developed an idea to help their community
  • helps run a project or group
  • helps improve other peoples lived

These are but a few examples, so for whatever reason you feel a child deserves to be recognised, please complete the attached nomination form, and return to the address given below by the 25th April 2008.

The activity day is to be held on Monday 26 May, which is Whitsun Bank Holiday, between 9.45 and 4.45. The schedule includes sailing, kayaking, archery and adventure golf.

As many of the activities take place on the lake, the child does not need to be able to swim but must be water confident and not panic in the water. Buoyancy aids will be worn at all times.

Campbell Park Parish Council looks forward to hearing from you.

Please return your application to Janice Walker at the above address.

Copies of the nomination form can be downloaded here: or collected from the Campbell Park Parish office at the above addres under Parish Office.
