PLANNING AND POLICY COMMITTEE TERMS OF REFERENCE

1. In general to oversee all actions by Parish Council Members and/or Officers within the Planning remit and, in particular Development Control

2. To comment on behalf of Campbell Park Parish Council on applications for planning permission for sites within the parish or on those outside the parish but with an effect on the parish

3. To make requests to MKC for the enforcement of planning legislation within the parish Strategic Planning

4. To comment on and make proposals concerning strategic and subject plans at Milton Keynes Council, Milton Keynes Partnership, sub-regional, regional and national level Policy

5. To comment on and make proposals on other plans, including those from MK Strategic Partnership, MK Council, health trusts and other public bodies

6. To make recommendations to Council on policy issues Highways and Transport

7. To comment on proposals relating to transport issues, (both public and private)

8. To make representations on behalf of CPPC on issues related to highways and transport (public and private)

9. To be responsible for transport matters concerning existing roads, pathways and/or redways and public transport services Licensing

10. To make representations on behalf of CPPC on applications to grant and or vary licenses for licensed premises and/or events within or adjacent to the Parish.

11. To prepare, every year, a draft budget covering all Planning expenditure, for submission to the Finance and Administration Committee, and thence to Council.

12. To develop and recommend to Council policies relating to the areas of the committee’s responsibility

13. To make representations to Council relating to the implementation of the Parish Plan and to monitor implementation of that Plan”.

14. To review the Terms of Reference of the Planning Committee at the first meeting of the Committee after the Annual General Meeting of Council and make appropriate recommendations to Council.
