Campbell Park Residential and West End: Phase 1 - CMK

The law is changing with regard to planning applications. From the 6th April 2008 all planning applications, apart from proposals relating to mineral working, must be made using new standard application forms. These new forms are known as '1-APP' forms. At the same time a new national list of planning application requirements comes into force and the council will also be adopting a local list of information which will be required to validate applications submitted from 6th April 2008. Campbell Park Residential

Location

Overall development area - Portway (H5) and Childs Way (H6) and Avebury Boulevard, from Marlborough Street (V8) to the Grand Union Canal either side of the Park. The residential site (Phase 1) is located between Campbell Heights and Albion Place.

Description

.   Phase 1 incorporates 280 apartments, town houses (including 30% affordable housing) and a small amount of retail space.

Development Stage

A Reserved Matters application was registered with Milton Keynes Council in March 2007.

Start Date

Expected to start on site third quarter 2007.

Completion Date

Early 2010.

Central Milton Keynes West End: Phase 1 - CMK

Location

The overall development area of West End - CMK covers Midsummer Boulevard to Child's Way (H6) and Witan Gate to Grafton Gate. West End: Phase 1 comprises the eastern portion of the site, fronting onto Witan Gate.

Description

.   Approximately 650 homes.

.   A 420-place combined school with an all-weather sports pitch (to be delivered by Milton Keynes Council).

.   Community facilities.

.   Commercial / small business space ranging from personal and professional services through food and drink, and retail uses throughout the ground floor areas.

.   The first of two new public squares for West End CMK (to be included in Phase 1).

Development Stage

Advanced infrastructure is currently being delivered by English Partnerships including a new public square.

Start Date

Phase 1 infrastructure work has already commenced. It is envisaged that further development work will commence during 2008.

Completion Date

Expected completion date for Phase 1 is 2010.The rest of the development is to be delivered in two further phases over a six-year period.
