Information about Allotments

There's nothing like growing your own vegetables; you have the peace of mind that they're maximum quality, nutrient-packed, and chemical-free, with that fresh-from-the-garden taste, at a fraction of the cost from the supermarket. Not to mention the elation you feel when you sit down to dinner knowing all the vegetables on your plate have been cared for and harvested by your own hands.

The benefits don't stop there - plenty of fresh air and exercise will help keep you healthy.

Campbell Park Parish Council runs two allotment sites, one on Willen and the other on Woolstone.  These plots range in size from 4 pole, 101 square meters, to 6 pole, 151 square meters.  These are reasonably priced at £3.50 per pole, averaging £20 per year.  Both sites have toilet facilities for that urgent moment, and mains water during the growing season.

There is always plenty of advice around to help the novice gardener get started. So if you fancy being more environmentally friendly, why not have a go at growing your own?
