Housing
PLEASE NOTE
There is a wide variety of housing tenures within the parish. These include owner-occupiers, shared-owners, leaseholders, and local authority tenants. The freehold of a property other than owner-occupier may lie with Milton Keynes Council as the local housing authority, or a housing association. There are also Houses in Multiple Occupation owned by private individuals or private companies. Yet another form of tenure is that where a group of houses or flats is owned by the occupants and managed by a Management Committee which has legal status as a company. In the case of flats, this ownership extends to the fabric of the block itself including any joint roof space. Finally we must not forget the private lettings and lodgings.
Campbell Park Parish Council is not a landlord for any form of housing, nor is it connected with the management of any form of housing tenure and has no formal, legal or business links with any landlords or owners.
Enquiries regarding housing issues should in the first instance be addressed to Milton Keynes Council at Saxon Court on Avebury Boulevard in CMK as the local housing authority. The Data Protection Acts 1998 may prevent staff from telling you just who does own a given property. They will however be able to say whether the property is one of theirs.
