The Precept

The Precept

Parish and Town Councils raise their money primarily from a levy called a precept. Any Town or Parish that precepts for more than £100,000 each year has to inform its residents of that fact and provide a breakdown of how it intends to spend it. Starting in 2004 Campbell Park Parish Council has sent out a leaflet in the same posting as the Council Tax bills from Milton Keynes Council.
