Milton Keynes Christian Centre is ‘Born Again’

Work on the expansion of the Milton Keynes Christian Centre (MKCC) in Oldbrook, which began in November 2009 is due for completion in September 2010 with opening ceremonies planned for October 30th. Billy Ritchie from MKCC said, “The new church hall will give us the much needed room we need for our Sunday Services; allowing us to move from three to two services, 10 am and 12 noon.
Residents of the Parish will be pleased to hear that the building will not be exclusively for the church members but that the community-at-large will also benefit. Billy goes on to say, “As well as a new church hall to welcome visitors to our church each Sunday we believe that Milton Keynes Christian Centre can be a great facility for the whole of our Parish. We believe that our church needs to be active in serving our special community and the new facilities will enable us to develop these activities. We now have the use of a multi purpose space to expand FoodBank, Parents & Toddlers, Senior Citizens Group, and our ever-popular children’s club each Friday – Frantic. Our new facility will also house a great coffee shop with a large seating area and eventually free WiFi. We will also have some rooms available for small meetings of community groups.”
Parish residents have been invited to an Open Day, on Saturday 30th October between 12 noon and 4pm, to view the new facilities. MKCC is laying on a host of activities for all ages including music, dance, free coffee, and food from around the world.
Later that evening, comedian Bobby Ball, will be performing. The event is ticketed but the tickets are free. If you would like to be part of this special evening, call the MKCC office on 01908 670655 to reserve yours ticket.
