Quality Council

Campbell Park Parish Council was awarded Quality status on the 21st October 2008.  This is a scheme which recognizes local councils able to demonstrate that they are representative of, and actively engage with, all parts of the community and are properly managed.

To qualify a council has to comply with a number of  "tests" namely:-

  • 80% of Councillors must have been elected
  • the Clerk must be qualified (the Certificate in Local Council Administration or equivalent)
  • the Council must have adopted a local Code of Conduct
  • the council must meet at least 6 times a year
  • an Annual Report must be produced
  • there must be provision of regular information on Parish Council activities to residents
  • properly prepared and audited accounts must be produced.

Becoming a Quality Parish Council will enable CPPC to take on a greater range of activities for the benefit of residents including, possibly, taking on activities on behalf of, or instead of, Milton Keynes Council.
