Quality Council
Campbell Park Parish Council was awarded Quality status on the 21st October 2008. This is a scheme which recognizes local councils able to demonstrate that they are representative of, and actively engage with, all parts of the community and are properly managed.
To qualify a council has to comply with a number of "tests" namely:-
- 80% of Councillors must have been elected
- the Clerk must be qualified (the Certificate in Local Council Administration or equivalent)
- the Council must have adopted a local Code of Conduct
- the council must meet at least 6 times a year
- an Annual Report must be produced
- there must be provision of regular information on Parish Council activities to residents
- properly prepared and audited accounts must be produced.
Becoming a Quality Parish Council will enable CPPC to take on a greater range of activities for the benefit of residents including, possibly, taking on activities on behalf of, or instead of, Milton Keynes Council.
